Gregory J. Fouratt, a career federal prosecutor, is a graduate of New Mexico State University. He was also an officer in the U.S. Air Force and remains a member of the Air National Guard.〔http://www.abqtrib.com/news/2008/jan/26/fouratt-named-replace-iglesias-us-attorney-new-mex/〕 He is a self-described specialist in the areas of racketeering, capital murder and gang related crimes.〔(Interview with Fouratt ) on KRQE News (CBS in Albuquerque, New Mexico), January 28, 2008〕 He is currently serving as the Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Public Safety.
